The workshop will take place at the Hotel Continental Ischia in Ischia. Ischia is an island in the Bay of Naples, so all arrivals require a ferry or hydrofoil from Naples on the Italian mainland.
The hotel is located near Piazza degli Eroi, within easy reach of Ischia Porto and the island’s central district. Set within extensive gardens, the hotel features thermal pools fed by natural hot springs, as well as on-site dining and leisure facilities.
From the hotel, visitors can walk to nearby shops, cafés, and restaurants, explore the town center, or access local transport for travel across the island. Coastal walks, beaches, and attractions such as the Aragonese Castle are within a short distance, while buses and taxis provide convenient connections to other parts of Ischia.
Ischia is a volcanic island in the Bay of Naples, covering some 46 square kilometers with a population of around 60,000. It is known for thermal springs, Mediterranean landscapes, and historic sites.
The island has a long history dating back to Greek settlement in the 8th century BCE, when it was known as Pithekoussai. It later came under Roman control and over the centuries has been influenced by successive rulers, including the Normans, Aragonese, and Spanish.
Notable attractions include the Aragonese Castle, the island’s thermal spa parks such as Poseidon Gardens, and views from Mount Epomeo. The island is also known for its local cuisine and walkable town centers. Read more about Ischia in a NYT article.
